About Daffodil Road yarn

Hello! I’m Sara, a passionate indie yarn dyer, known for creating unique & exciting colourways on luxury yarn bases.

I started Daffodil Road Yarn from our yarn studio in the beautiful Huon Valley, Tasmania in 2019.

We have recently moved to the sunny state of Queensland in the northern part of Australia.

When I'm not dyeing yarn I enjoy knitting, crocheting, spinning yarn, playing guitar, singing, exploring nature and gardening.

I am the mother to seven beautiful children, and together with my husband Duncan, enjoy strolling the beaches in our new home town of Hervey Bay, Queensland Australia.

Daffodil Road Yarn is a small home based, independent hand-dyed yarn company based in Hervey Bay, Queensland Australia.

Daffodil Road Yarn is passionate about creating inspiring, unique colourways for your fibre journey and giving back to the community in every way that we can!

We use sustainable packaging and practices as much as possible.
We value giving back to the community through fundraisers, giveaways and more.
We are currently an online only store, but our yarn is stocked in selective local yarn shops across the country.

If you're wondering why there isn't much for sale, please read below. :)

*Shop updates will be on hold until February 2025, as we have our annual Summer Holidays and move house.*

Shop updates happen monthly on Saturday mornings at 9am AEST, unless otherwise indicated (Queensland, Australia time).

We recommend signing up for our newsletter for advance access/news about yarn clubs and special releases.

On our Shop Update day, yarn may sell out quickly!

We regrettably do not offer CUSTOM colourways at this time.
