Our yarns are ethically sourced from well known, cruelty-free, mulesing-free farms and mills around the world.
Our yarn is hand dyed using professional acid dyes in a clean, dry, smoke-free environment.
At Daffodil Road, we value the environment and supporting local business. We strive to provide the best quality yarn with an emphasis on supporting local or ethical fibre suppliers, so that you can purchase with confidence. We use both commercial (low impact, non-toxic) acid dyes, plant based cold set cellulose dyes, and also, natural plant based dyes to colour the yarn.
We use biodegradable shipping mailers, and continue to re-evaluate and adapt our business to be more eco-friendly.
We are thrilled to provide you with a truly unique and beautiful selection of handmade artisan yarns. We hope it inspires you to create something wonderful that you, and those you love, will cherish for years to come!
Yes! We are more than happy to help you with choosing colours. We can send you photos of any yarn combinations you would like to compare, and we are also happy to suggest complimentary colourways.
We recommend you hand wash your yarn in cool water with a mild wool detergent.
Dry flat in the shade.
For small projects using less than 100g of yarn, alternating skeins is not necessary. However, due to the unique nature of hand dyed yarn, we do recommend that you alternate skeins for projects that require more than 100 grams. This allows the colours to blend more evenly and helps to prevent colours pooling or changing abruptly.
We will happily exchange any yarn for any reason, within 14 days of purchase.
You can choose to receive the equivalent amount of yarn (in $ amount) from our In Stock supply, or a Store Credit for future use.
*Return shipping both ways is the responsibility of the purchaser.
*Store Credit will be valid for 3 months.
*Exchanges can only be issued where the yarn is returned to us in it’s original, new and unused condition. We reserve the right to refuse an exchange if the yarn does not meet this criteria.
Full Refunds will be given where the item received differs from that ordered. In this case, you may keep the incorrect yarn, and choose to receive a full replacement or a full refund as desired.
